Who we are

About Renovo

Renovo is the clearinghouse the renewables industry has been missing. The first wave of solar assets is hitting end-of-life, and an optimized platform to handle that wave hasn't existed until now.

Mission

Make it easy to retire and install renewable assets.

The renewables industry built itself on standardized financing, modeling, and interconnection. End-of-life is the missing piece. Asset owners face decommissioning decisions today with no transparent pricing, no standard RFP format, and no easy way to compare recyclers' bids on price, logistics, ESG, or recovery rates. In parallel, recyclers and decommissioning entities want more volume, but struggle with disjointed, disparate deal flow.

Renovo sits between them. We aggregate assets, automate RFPs, score bids against owner-specified weights, and bundle nearby projects so recyclers can fill a route and owners can capture discounts from volume pricing.

Our values

What we stand for.

Transparency

Every number is published and editable. The math in our calculators is the math that scores the bids.

Integrity

The real economics, even when the honest answer is to wait or walk away.

Agnostic

No favored party or outcome. We surface whatever actually pencils for you.

Fair

Opt-in bundling, independent consent, and feedback on every bid. No black boxes.

Founder

One founder, for now.

A licensed Professional Engineer (PE, Electrical) who has spent his career managing and de-risking multi-million-dollar solar, storage, and EV infrastructure projects: technical due diligence, interconnection strategy, and RFP-driven procurement. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts. Gavi started Renovo after seeing firsthand how fragmented and opaque the end-of-life and repowering process is for renewable asset owners.

Where we are

Pilot phase, opening for design partners.

We're building a small cohort of pilot partners across every part of the lifecycle to refine the marketplace mechanics, the bundling thresholds, and the bid-scoring rubric against real projects: asset owners with end-of-life systems, recyclers, decommissioners, NGO and donee organizations, and EPCs. If that's you, or you expect to be in the next 12 months, we'd like to talk.
